Computers For Kids

Local NAACP Branch and Partners Launch Campaign to
Provide Computers for Brentwood and Central Islip Students in Need
As you know, the COVID-19 Crisis necessitated school closings throughout the country. Some school systems were ready to pivot into Distance Learning because students had and have access to personal computers or District-supplied devices.

For many Central Islip and Brentwood students, they neither have a personal computer at home nor a District-supplied device. Our hope is to change their reality!

Our goal is two-fold. We hope to raise $1,000,000 worth of funds and donated devices for the Brentwood and Central Islip students in need. We also hope to work with local school officials to ensure that a plan of action for the delivery of ipad/tablets/Chromebooks/laptops/etc to each and every Brentwood and Central Islip student is developed and published as soon as possible.

Parties interested in making a financial donation towards our fundraising goals may do so using the GoFundMe .

Monetary donations in the form of a check may be made out to “Youth Enrichment Services” and mailed to Computers for Kids, @ YES, P.O. Box 105, West Islip, NY 11795. Please put “Computers for Kids” in the memo of the check. Youth Enrichment Services (YES) is a 501C3, non-for-profit, partner of the Computers for Kids Campaign that is audited annually by an accounting firm.

Donations of new iPads/tablets/Chromebooks/laptops/etc can be mailed or delivered to Computers for Kids, @ Leg. Samuel Gonzalez, 55 2nd Ave Suite 7, Brentwood, NY 11717.

We hope that you will join us in our mission to put technology into the hands of every student.

Yours truly,
The Computers for Kids Campaign Committee
